Who we are
This website is operated by Ice T's Ice Creams ("we", "us", "our"), an ice cream van hire business based in Cheshire, England. If you have any questions about this policy or how your data is handled, you can reach us at iceticecream@gmail.com or 07591 792255.
What information we collect
We collect information in two ways:
- Information you give us directly — when you fill in the enquiry form on this site, we collect your name, email address, event date, and any details you include about your location, guest numbers or the type of event.
- Information collected automatically — if you accept analytics cookies via the banner on this site, Google Analytics collects anonymised information about how you use the site (pages visited, general location, device type). No analytics data is collected unless you actively accept. See our Cookie Policy for details.
How we use your information
We use the information you submit through the enquiry form to respond to your booking request, discuss your event, and provide our ice cream van hire service. We do not use it for marketing unless you separately opt in to that at some point in the future. Analytics data (where accepted) is used only to understand how visitors use the site, so we can improve it.
Legal basis for processing
We process enquiry form data on the basis of taking steps at your request prior to entering into a contract with you (Article 6(1)(b) UK GDPR), and, where a booking proceeds, to perform that contract. We process analytics cookie data only where you have given consent (Article 6(1)(a) UK GDPR).
Who we share it with
We do not sell or rent your personal data. Enquiry form submissions are sent to our own email inbox via [Add the name of the form/email delivery service you use, if any]. Analytics data, where you've consented, is processed by Google Analytics — see Google's own privacy policy at policies.google.com/privacy for how they handle it.
How long we keep it
We keep enquiry form data for as long as reasonably needed to respond to your enquiry and, if you book with us, for the duration of our working relationship plus a reasonable period afterwards for record-keeping (typically [Add retention period, e.g. up to 2 years]). You can ask us to delete your data sooner at any time.
Your rights
Under UK data protection law, you have the right to:
- Ask what personal data we hold about you, and get a copy of it
- Ask us to correct inaccurate data
- Ask us to delete your data
- Object to, or ask us to restrict, how we use your data
- Withdraw consent at any time (for anything based on consent, such as analytics cookies)

Children's privacy
This site and its enquiry form are intended for use by adults booking or enquiring about our service. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children.

We may update this policy from time to time, for example if we start collecting new types of data. Any changes will be posted on this page with an updated "last updated" date.
